Rhys Ifans——————————–Earl of Oxford
Vanessa Redgrave———————–Queen Elizabeth I
Sebastion Armesto———————-Ben Johnson
Rafe Spall———————————-William Shakespeare
Jamie Campbell Bower——————Young Earl of Oxford
David Thewlis—————————-William Cecil

Directed by Roland Emmerich
Screenplay by John Orloff

Roland Emmerich takes a break from destroying the planet and makes a movie based on the theory that William Shakespeare never wrote any of the plays he is famous for. I heard the rumour that a man named Bacon was responsible for the writings. The Earl of Oxford (Ifans) is the person who Emmerich is depicting as the true author of the works of Shakespeare. Rhys Ifans gives an incredible performance and this is such a departure from the goofy roommate in “Notting Hill”. Ben Johnson (Armesto) is told from The Earl of Oxford that he will be presenting The Earl’s plays as his own. Johnson agrees to the arangement but William Shakespeare (Spall) winds up taking credit. The plays are an enormous success and Johnson is disgusted by Shakespeares antics.
