The Other Woman – The oddest friends are about to get even.
Cameron Diaz——————————–Carly Whitten
Leslie Mann———————————-Kate King
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau———————Mark King
Directed by Nick Cassavetes
Screenplay by Melissa Stack.
Carly Whitten (Diaz) has found a great guy named Mark (Coster-Waldau) who she is spending a lot of time with. Through some awkward exchanges she comes to the realization that Mark is married. Kate King (Mann) is the unsuspecting wife who tracks down “the other woman” and they form an unlikely friendship. Together they uncover a third woman that Mark is with, Amber (Upton). The three women team together to exact revenge on the serial adulterer. This movie is driven toward a female audience but I thought the performances by Mann and Diaz were both excellent. Leslie Mann is adorable as Kate King and she brings true heart to this movie every time she is on screen. We witness her character go through every emotion possible during this movie and Mann does an excellent job showing them all. Carly starts out trying to be the cold hard woman and her character is transformed through the friendship with Kate. This is a great buddy movie with lots of laughs.
