True story of a man convicted of brutally murdering a woman and his sister’s fight to get him released. Kenny Waters (Rockwell) is questioned and then released after the murder of a woman. One of the officers takes a dislike to Waters and won’t let go of the idea that he is guilty. Finally when the police have enough evidence they arrest Kenny and send him to jail. Betty Anne Waters puts herself through Law school and when she finishes she represents her brother. Her determination to go over the case is unrelenting and her fight to prove her brothers innocence is far from over. Fantastic movie with two great performances by Sam Rockwell and Hilary Swank.
