Based on the Comic by Scott Mitchell Rosenberg.

Jake Lonergan (Craig) wakes up in the middle of nowhere with some weird chunk of metal attached to his arm. He does not know his own name and he cannot remember anything from before. He is getting images of things that happened to him but he can’t put all the pieces together. When he finally makes it to town, he is confronted by Percy Dollarhyde (Dano). Percy tries to push Jake around and is shown that some people push back. The two wind up in jail and are going to be transported to the State Courtroom for their serious crimes.

The plan to transport them is changed drastically when Alien ships attack the town. Some of the ships are throwing lines over people and taking them away and Jake’s new found bracelet comes to life. He blows a hole in the back of the wagon and confronts the Alien ships with a weapon that actually works against them. He still has amnesia and Ella Swenson (Wilde) wants to help him remember. The memory that Jake has is important to give the humans a chance to destroy these aliens.

Daniel Craig and Harrison Ford are both believable in this crazy story. The supporting cast is actually quite impressive with Clancy Brown, Sam Rockwell, Paul Dano, and Keith Carradine all making very good impressions during this movie. This is a good movie with a crazy premise but it is certainly worth a watch.
