This movie follows a young musician Llewyn Davis (Isaac) trying to make it in the music industry. He has a knack for making his own life as well as other people’s lives miserable. He is constantly looking for a couch to sleep on and is a burden to everyone who knows him. His good friends the Gorfeins allow him to stay over and when he leaves in the morning he accidentally lets the cat out. So he takes the cat with him and promptly loses the cat. He encounters several different characters but I found the movie to be exactly like Llewyn Davis… a drifter with lack of purpose. Normally, I love the Coen’s movies but this wasn’t one of my favourites. There is some very good music in this movie and Justin Timberlake proves once again that he is a pretty good actor, but this movie misses the mark.
