Based on the Book by Chris Van Allsburg.

A young boy is approaching the age where he no longer believes in Santa Claus. He has told his sister that it would be impossible for Santa to deliver all the presents to every child on Earth. He is up late on Christmas eve when a magic train called the “Polar Express” stops in front of his house. Reluctantly, he gets on the train and his adventure to the North Pole begins.

The train ride to the North Pole is the true brilliance of this movie. We are taken on every part of the train and meet a range of different  people on the journey. The young girls ticket goes for a journey and we are treated to some of the best animation we have ever seen. The train itself is pushed to its limits and we get to enjoy every second of the ride.

When our Hero Boy reaches the North Pole he confronts his doubting and learns the magic of belief.

The more I watch movies by Robert Zemeckis the more impressed I get. The man is truly gifted and he delivers nothing less than great movies every time he steps behind the camera. This movie is an instant Christmas Classic!!
