Captain America: Civil War is the third installment in the franchise and after The Winter Soldier I had high expectations. The Avengers are getting bad press from all the destruction they are causing around the world. New York and Sokovia are two high profile cities that have The United Nations drawing up a new Sokovia Accord which would give them power to direct The Avengers.

Captain America (Evans) refuses to sign because he believes that any other involvement would be self serving. There would come a time when the United Nations would give them an order that they would not agree with. Ultimately, the Avengers are the best choice to lead because they have no ulterior motives. Tony Stark/Ironman (Downey Jr.) believes they need to hand the decision making power over to the United Nations because they have killed innocent people while battling evil. Tony had been approached by a woman whose son had been killed in Sokovia. There becomes a clear divide between the Avengers when an African City is bombed and the main suspect is Bucky Barnes/The Winter Soldier. The divide between the two sides grow until the Civil War between the Avengers finally begins.

The action sequences are incredible and the opening has a great character with hydraulic fists called “Crossbones” (Grillo) that give Captain America a tough time. I wish they would have had more of that character.

This movie reintroduces us to Spider-Man, which is like a little mini reboot within a movie. It also brings several other super hero characters into this movie like Antman (Rudd), and Black Panther (Omigolioyo). All together it just turns into a mess, I wish they would have focused on this story rather than create as many cameos as they possibly could.

This movie entertains, but it truly was a let down from its predecessor.
