Pierce Brosnan was held back from becoming Bond several years earlier due to the whole Remington Steele contract. The T.V. studio only renewed the show because they wanted the producers to pay them extra to get Brosnan. They decided on Timothy Dalton instead and did not pay. Two movies and about eight years later Brosnan finally took the reigns as Bond. 007 is called in to find a secret Russian space weapon called Goldeneye. There are some great scenes and funny moments throughout this film. Famke Janssen is an excellent adversary for Bond and she is magnificent in the role. Although a long time to wait for the Brosnan version of Bond, Martin Campbell makes it worth the wait.
