Ellison Oswalt (Hawke) is a fading writer that one time had a great book and is looking to regain his notoriety. So he packs up his family and moves into the home where a family was recently murdered. Hey don’t worry the house was bought at a good price. When he goes into the attic he finds an 8mm camera and that my friends is where the fun begins. He watches the movies one by one and these movies graphically depict a series of families (yes, including children) being murdered. At one point we see a family strapped to their individual beds and the murderer walks form bed to bed slicing the victims throats (fun for the whole family). I have to admit that I never thought that Silent Hill: Revelation would ever get competition as one of the worst movies I have ever seen, but this P.O.S. did give it a run for its money. Sadly with a 3 million dollar budget this movie grossed over $77 million and that my friends means sequel. I will not be reviewing that movie, because I will never watch it.
