This movie delves into a series of murders committed by the Zodiac Killer in California in the late 1960′s and early 1970′s. We follow Robert Graysmith (Gyllenhaal) as he becomes obsessed with solving these crimes. He is a cartoonist that does his best to keep the Zodiac relevant even when it seems like yesterdays news. He solves a cipher and investigates tirelessly and in the process alienates his family. The tag line “There is more than one way to lose your life to serial killer” explains it all. Robert Graysmith was essentiallly another victim of the Zodiac. This movie is well constructed and came with interviews of all the key players in the supplements. Fantastic movie and great extras to boot.
